Carol Erickson

Carol has loved books her whole life, but it wasn't until later in life that she discovered the realm of bookbinding; the art and craft is pure joy. She loves the varied techniques, the many styles available for experimentation, and seeing an idea become a journal that frames the words of another writer. She enjoys bringing home handmade papers from abroad and using those papers in her creations. Carol relishes studying historical medieval bindings and the techniques used hundreds of years ago. She finds pleasure in creating her own papers, both marbling and paste papers. Creating books for the joy of others speaks to her mind, heart, and soul.
