Christine Swayden

Christine has lived in Albuquerque, by way of Australia, for 49 years and has fallen in love with New Mexico’s magnificent color schemes. Constantly surrounded by its unique beauty, she began painting in 1979, but started honing her craft once her kids had grown. In 2016, she attended a workshop led by nationally known oil artist, Bill Inman. In 2022, she participated in Ruth Vreeland’s watercolor class on colors, hues, values and pigments. She paints with both oil and watercolor and loves to try to capture some of God's marvelous creations in seascapes, landscapes, flowers and even her wonderful dogs from time to time. For this tour, she’s exhibiting some paintings and greeting cards and looking forward to meeting new people .
