Tatulli Komogorova

Oil Painting

After retirement from a government job in Information Technology, Tatulli decided to follow her life’s passion and started painting. All her experiences and interests, love for nature, poetry, history, and adventure are strongly embedded in her art process.  Tatulli's art is influenced by the symbolism and mysticism of Rossetti and Vrubel, as well as the primitivism of Cézanne, Picasso, Kandinsky, and Chagall’s fauvism.

She is interested in light, color, symbols, composition, perception, atmospheric feelings and not so much about realistic depiction. Tatulli uses oil, acrylic, and palette knives to create fusion images of real life and dreams in Alla Prima technique.

She considers her art to be impressionistic and expressionistic to some extent. The artist cares about the viewer's emotions, and hopes to make them a bit happier. Tatulli mostly works in my studio using sketches and photographs as a base for her paintings, but she loves to do a plein air work during beautiful New Mexico fall. She started exploring pastel media in 2024 with famous local artist Julia Lambright and  hopes to add additional dimensions to her art.

Tatulli is an award winning artist and her works can be found at the Yucca Art Gallery in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
