IN MEMORIAM
Our good friend and fellow artist, Terry Matthews, 86, passed quietly on January 25, 2021. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle. His love for Jane never wavered or faltered. He loved his country, his Navy, basketball, golf, and education. After finally retiring, he became a zealous painter. He rarely took requests but instead painted what was within him. He would paint all year long only to give away all his paintings during our annual Sandia Heights Artists Studio Tour. Many young girls and boys would come away from Terry’s home studio carrying their first piece of original art. It was his hope that they would each add to their art collection throughout their lives. Terry was a wonderful man, very kind, humble, and generous. We will always remember him with respect and love.
  • We will have XX artists
  • O'Bean's Coffee Shop in Sandia Heights will be open on Saturday for coffee & snacks
  • We are partnered with some terrific sponsors for a greater positive exposure in the Albuquerque community.
Cheers for La Mesa Academy!
